STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Location: Lawrence, MA
Department: Finance
Position Summary:
To contribute to the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of the finance team by performing a variety of tasks to support the flow of financial information, the production of sales and financial reports, as well as the monthly close process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
MONTHLY CLOSE
• Assist in preparation of journal entries
• Inventory reconciliation (perpetual to G/L)
• Calculate commissions
• T & E Reporting (Actual v. Budget)
• General Ledger reconciliations
GENERAL ACCOUNTING
• Manage the AP process
• Assist in the payroll process
• Year End Audit support
DEDUCTION ANALYSIS
• Coordinate with Sales team on trade deductions by:
• Maintaining database for trade deductions by customer & product
• Reviewing deductions for legitimacy
• Distributing documentation to sales team and brokers
• Following up with customers/brokers on discrepancies
Other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Qualifications:
• BS in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency with MSOffice including Excel, Word and Outlook. QuickBooks experience a plus
• Ability to show attention to detail, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Desire to work both independently as well as collaboratively and participate as a member of a diverse team
• Must possess a high level of tact/diplomacy in working with outside vendors & customers
MARKETING INTERN
Semester Internship (paid)
Location: Lawrence, MA
Department: Marketing
Position Summary:
This position will report to the Associate Director of Marking and be an integral part of a small office environment. The successful candidate needs to have a general understanding of business, as well as be organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task with minimal supervision. This is a paid internship and the office dress code and atmosphere is casual.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage customer, store and broker relations (B2B and B2C)
• Handle all sample requests and store demo coordination
• Marketing Research, PR and product development involvement and management of key projects
• Fill all requests for the “I’m a SuperFit Kid Program,” an Ian’s exclusive loyalty program for kids
• Administrator of the “I’m a SuperFit Kid Program”
• Ian’s contact for all allergy support groups
• Manage all website updates with graphic design firm
• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Marketing
Qualifications:
Applicant must:
• be a candidate for BS/BA in a business major
• be involved in a marketing related program or have interest in a marketing career
• be proficient in Microsoft Office
• be a hard worker and self motivated
SALES TERRITORY MANAGER
Location: New England
Department: Sales
Position Summary:
The Sales Territory Manager provides hands on Selling and Merchandising techniques within a specific geography. Recommends and Executes merchandising strategies to enhance product distribution, positioning, and incremental display vehicles within stores.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develops account call schedule frequency based ability to execute corporate goals
• Ensure product distribution on authorized products
• Execute product position on shelf to maximize brand exposure and consumer pull through
• Ensure all products are priced correctly and proper shelf tags are in place
• Executes new product speed to shelf initiatives
• Builds store and customer relationships within the trade
• Provides presentation to accounts on key product attributes and highlights sales successes
• Develops reporting system to track key initiatives i.e. store visits, new item cut-ins, displays sold, pricing, resets
• Sells promotions to ensure minimum OOS & incremental displays
• Works with retail broker and distributor partners to ensure maximization of retail sales efforts
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree
• Minimum four years of retail sales experience
• Independent, proactive and organized individual with creative selling skills
• Must have very strong computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Must possess exceptional communication skills both written and including delivering presentations
• Able to work in diverse team environment
• Valid driver’s license
